SHIKAR CONDITIONS and PRICE LIST and PHOTOS

SHIKAR CONDITIONS - 2012-2013
Jasmin Safaris is one of only three outfitters in Iran authorized to offer sport hunting in game reserves accessible to foreign hunters for a limited and controlled off-take.  The most important wildlife trophies of the country are well-represented and offer good to excellent opportunities for trophy hunters in just 5 days or less per species.

The professional guides and staff of Jasmin Safaris will take care of clients during the entire length of their stay in Iran.  Nevertheless, good physical condition is required, since the hunts often take place between 1,500 and 3,000 meters altitude.  Lodging will be provided in the reserve's guest house or in one of the best local hotels or guest houses.

The hunting season is October - February. Your itinerary will be tailored in accordance with your desires and the species that you book to hunt.

Iran Hunting

JASMIN SAFARIS BASES ITS SUCCESS ON YOUR SUCCESS
No other Iranian outfitter accepts the payment of a low base fee as its sole compensation if you are not successful. Additionally, no other Iranian outfitter offers a graduated trophy fee that gives the outfitter and your hunting team the incentive to help you obtain the biggest trophies realistically possible. Why pay a fixed hunt price if you are unsuccessful or if you shoot an average trophy?

PRICE LIST - October 2012 - February 2013
The Base Hunt Cost per species of Sheep or Ibex is 4,000 Euros, which covers up to 5 days of hunting (or 1,600 Euros for Gazelle or 1,000 Euros for Wild Boar for 2 days of hunting). Travel Days between reserves are charged at 400 Euros.

Wild Boar (based on length of longest tusk):
0-18 = 400 E, 18.1-22 = 700 E, 22.5-24 = 990 E, over 24 = 1,290 E.

DOUBLE UP!
In a limited number of Sheep reserves, you may also hunt Persian Gazelle for only the trophy fee during a Sheep hunt. In a limited number of Sheep reserves, you may also hunt Bezoar Ibex or Persian Desert Ibex by booking only 3 extra days for 2,400 Euros and then paying only the trophy fee for Ibex during a Sheep hunt. However, the surest way to obtain the biggest possible trophy remains to book 2 full days for Gazelle and/or 5 full days for Ibex and/or 5 full days for Sheep.

Other Costs: 150 E for overnights in Tehran, 800 E for the hunting license for one Sheep, Ibex, or Gazelle or 1,400 E for two or 2,000 E for three or 2,500 E for four plus 200 E if Wild Boar is added, 250 E per day for observers (female observers or hunters should wear scarves in public), 100 E for insurance and 200 E for each gun cleared through Customs, 200 E for the CITES certification for Trans Caspian Urial, 200 E for export permission/veterinarian certificate for each trophy to be exported, 2,000 E for each Sheep or Ibex shot less than 7 years old (in case the hunter takes the risk of shooting a younger trophy despite the advice of the professional guides), 2,500 E in the event a trophy is clearly wounded and lost after leaving a blood trail.  If you take your trophies with you when you depart Iran or you pick them up on a subsequent trip to Iran, the charge for trophy preparation is 325 E for a full mount, or 300 E for a shoulder mount, or 275 E for a European mount (without the skin), or 60 E for Wild Boar tusks.

Deposit Requirement and Dollars vs. Euros
As a convenience, hunters may pay all costs, including tips, in U.S. dollars and receive credit at the then prevailing exchange rate in Euros.  As an additional convenience, a booking may be made with an initial deposit of only $3,250 per Sheep and/or Ibex, followed by a second deposit also of $3,250 per Sheep or Ibex 90 days before the hunt start date (or $1,625 + $1,625 for a Gazelle).  The balance of the hunt costs and trophy fees may be paid in Iran after the shikar is complete.

Example of All Costs on a 3-Sheep Shikar (other than visa fees, hotel and personal expenses in Tehran, personal flights, and tips): Travel day and base hunt cost for the first species = 4,400 E.  And for the second species = 4,400 E.  And for the third species = 4,400 E.  Travel day back to Tehran = 400 E.  Assume the largest trophy fees for Armenian Mouflon, Esfahan Mouflon, and Kerman Sheep = 20,000 E.  Hunting licenses = 2,000 E.  Insurance and gun clearance = 200 E.  Three export permissions and vet certificates = 600 E.  Trophy prep for three full mounts = 975 E.  The total = 37,325 Euros or $48,525 at an exchange rate of $1.30 or $16,175 per Sheep ... less if the largest trophy fee were not required for each Sheep ... and much less if a Sheep was not shot.  NO OTHER IRANIAN OUTFITTER TAKES THIS RISK.  NO OTHER IRANIAN OUTFITTER BASES ITS SUCCESS ON YOUR SUCCESS!
