One of Zimbabwe's premier professional hunters and outfitters, Roger Whittall of Roger Whittall Safaris, has obtained permission to conduct legal safaris in the Cuando -Cubango region of southeast Angola starting this year! The Whittal family is justifiably famous for its Humani operation (started by Roger's father, Jimmy, almost a century ago). Humani is a part of the enormous Save Conservancy.
The 2010 season will take place August -November. August and the first 2/3 of September are already sold out, so book early for the balance of the season or for next season.
Is the first legal hunting season in over three decades right for you? Roger and Adrienne have advised me as follows: "We scouted our concession in 2009 and have seen a lot of Buffalo and Elephant and Plains Game. We are now busy putting in roads. It is a vast area of 2.5 million hectares. We will not know accurately until the end of 2010 what we have in the area. From the signs we have seen, we are very confident and very excited. We would like to sell this hunt only to hunters who are well aware of these facts, and would still like to come for a bit of adventure."
The deposit to book for 2010 is 50% and for 2011 is 25%. S if "a bit of adventure" is for you, book your safari now. Then plan your trip to include beautiful Victoria Falls as your point of embarkation.
Very truly yours,
Ken Wilson
