Ken Wilson books hunts worldwide as well as a limited
number of trophy exotic hunts on several large ranches near
where he lives in the Texas Hill Country. Hunts are confirmed with
a $500 deposit. Food and lodging on each ranch and the daily guide fee cost a combined $350-370 ($150-180 for non-hunters). Trophy fees are payable
upon kill or wounding and vary according to the ranch hunted. |

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
A non-resident exotic license costs $45 for 5 days or $125 through August
31 each year. For native game (whitetail, mule deer, pronghorn, javelina,
turkey), the license cost is $300 and includes exotics through August
31 each year. You may purchase your license by phone (800-895-4248), on the internet (http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/business/licenses/), or at a gun shop in Texas. |
WEATHER/CLOTHING/EQUIPMENT:
The weather is usually beautiful in the Hill Country, but come prepared.
We recommend a heavy coat and gloves for winter, short sleeved shirts
for summer, and both for spring and fall. Bring rain gear as a precaution.
Don't forget your binoculars and camera. While .243 and .257 rifles are
acceptable, we recommend that you shoot a .270 to .300 |
